Valérie Maigret Berger is a French writer from Paris. Her background spans newspaper column writing and architecture. Deeply dedicated to and passionate about her work, she is nonetheless reserved, private, and quiet by nature. As a child, she developed a lifelong love of the fairy tales of H. C. Andersen and has remained an avid reader ever since. She has a particular fondness for Cordon Bleu served in traditional restaurants, and for spending quiet afternoons listening to classical music, especially recordings conducted by Karl Böhm, as well as the songs of Dionne Warwick.
